Captain Strawser's newest students, welcome to the class blog. This blog already has one semester of interesting and fascinating discussions and debates behind it. Feel free to peruse the archives. I'm sure we'll return to some of the posts discussed previously -- for many of these issues are timeless -- and we'll wrestle through many new issues.
To my old students and other outside-USAFA bloggers, I encourage you to continue to interact and debate on this blog. I hope it continues to grow with each new semester. (Although, sorry, I can't give my old students any instructor points for posting anymore!)
Here's looking forward to a new season of rational reflections.

Fresh meat indeed, dmb. I hope you (and others) continue to stay involved in the blog with this new crop of students.
I do not get it. Are we debating or eating each other? Hmmmmmm?
I am only posting here because I don't know where to put this comment. After spending a couple of classes on the euthyphro dilemma, i am quite ertain that God command things because they are right as opposed to the belief that things are right because God commands them. Thought the arbitrariness problem and the Toby problem are both typical arguments- they are both sound and valid and should not be dismissed! As for tertium quid...I have no dismissed this theory but i do believe that it is a subcategoy of my personal belief. While Capt Strawser said we would waver on our belif, and I honestly kept an open mind the entire time, I went into the class with the same belief that I hold now, and i do hold it with confidence (but am open for refute!)
